Daily graph for the Berlin measuring station |
---|
|
|
At a UV index value of 1 or more, the current UV index at the specified time is shown at the top right of the UV index graph. The grey line in the graph shows the course of the UV index forecast by the Deutscher Wetterdienst (German Weather Service) under clear skies – the "clear sky forecast". |
Berlin measuring station
Operator | Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS) Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) |
Location | Berlin (Potsdamer Platz) |
Height | 53 metres above sea level |
Coordinates | 52°30'28" N 13°22'43" E |
Measuring system | Broadband radiometer |
Measuring interval | 1 minute |
The measuring station in Berlin is part of the nationwide solar UV measuring network
Measurement
The measuring station measures the incident erythema-producing (sunburn-producing) UV irradiance at ground level. The measured values are adjusted using a factor and quoted in the form of the unified global UV index (UVI).
